Panel Upgrades For Safety
Many older homes in Minneapolis are still running on a 60-amp service to their home. Way back in the 1950s and 60s, this was the standard for household power. In today’s technology-driven world, your home draws more power than ever. Upgrade to a properly sized panel for safety and efficiency.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to upgrade my panel if I’m out of breaker space?
Not necessarily. We can often wire a sub-panel next to your main panel to add additional space at half the cost of a full upgrade.
Our home inspector recommended we replace our Federal Pacifica panel even though we’ve never had an issue with it. Why?
Federal Pacific panels are known to be hazardous and can cause fires due to breakers not tripping when overloaded. If you have a Federal Pacific (FPE) panel in your home it should be replaced with a newer panel that is safe.
When you change my old fuse panel to a new circuit breaker panel will all of the fuse panels next to the main panel be removed too?
Yes, most definitely, we will combine all circuits into the new panel and remove any existing subpanels making the new installation clean and simple for you.
